Juicing or Blending? What is your experience?

Juicing is when you extract the juice out of fruits or vegetables.

Blending is when you mix one or more food substances together. This could go beyond fruits and vegetables like nuts, seeds, sprouts etc.

You must have come across many opinions that tell you not to juice while some others favor juicing up. It is very easily a confusing space to be in with so much information available on the web.

In this article, I would like to highlight the pros and cons of Juicing and Blending.

Juicing – Some say juicing spikes your blood sugar others say it is the easiest way to get those nutrients. Regular centrifugal juicers do take away lot of fiber from the vegetables and fruits you are juicing and what remains is the juice with sugar if you are juicing fruit category. If you wish to enjoy the benefits of Juicing which cannot be denied, your juicer should either be a masticating one or a twin gear. I have seen slow juicers being sold in Dubai. They are a good investment as an option along with blending. Juicing could be good at times especially when you have a short fast planned.

Blending – your fruits and vegetables is a good idea because the fiber remains within the drink. Blending vegetables or green leaves with a small piece of fruit is a great smoothie idea that can keep you full all morning specially if you add some chia seeds to it. There are many smoothie recipes around. Just ensure you are not just blending fruits because that could spike blood sugar against your will. There are many great blenders in the market today and out of those some are definitely within the reach of your pocket. Health is definitely not a costly affair! So set aside the excuses and get blending your morning smoothie!

Whichever you chose – Juicing or Blending, the goodness of the fresh fruits and vegetables will definitely leave you with loads of energy, much clearer skin, improved immune system, increased sense of taste and better focus to name a few benefits.
